Spent weekend on short pack trip to the Jefferson Park wilderness area on the north side of Oregon’s Mt. Jefferson. We can do short trips like this from Portland because the trailhead is only 113 miles from our front door! More Mt. Jefferson pack trip photos here.

Took a planned day away Portland real estate concerns to hike for a few hours in the Mt. Adams area. It’s great to have so many spectacular outdoor areas close to home in Portland.
