2009 Nelscott Reef Tow In Classic on YouTube
Regarded by pro surfers as one of the three most challenging big wave competitions in the world, the Nelscott Reef Tow In Classic ran Thursday in Lincoln City. The competition operates on a three-month holding period, October 1 through December 31, and unofficially marks the opening of the North Pacific big wave season. When conditions are right, competitors are given 48 hours to arrive from wherever in the world they may be.
The Nelscott Reef Tow In Classic is now in its fifth year. The contest has been held each year it has operated, boasting a better record than any big wave event ever.

Jeffrey, Larry, and two friends we invited for dinner.
Another great part of living in Portland is that you’re only ninety minutes from great state park campgrounds at the beach, like Cape Lookout, where you can limit out in a couple well-spent hours.
